Love your fabrics! I agree with Toverly that there's no need for a wide border of any kind and I would go with the orange binding unless you have some of the black/white stripey fabric.

There are definitely different weights of the Kaffe fabrics. I have a bunch made by Rowan and they almost feel like rayon, while others seem to be printed on regular weight cottons.

For quilts that are intended just to hang on the wall and not actually be "used", I never prewash. When the quilt gets dusty I just use the brush attachment of my vacuum.
