    What makes a sewing machine "vintage"?

    My sewing group at church has several pretty old sewing machines donated over the years by families. What qualifies as a "vintage" sewing machine? If I could sell them to make money for thread, etc....

    Please, don't add milk, flour or water to potato soup! The thickness can come from mashing some of the potatoes. In a pinch, use mashed potato flakes to thicken the soup. Yum.

    Hmm. Since the apron body has the stripes top and bottom, I am guessing the extra stripes are for the ties, the snowflakes are for pockets, and the two squares are for hot pads. Am I close?

    I sort mine by color somewhat and keep them in the pockets of an over-the-door hanging thing of shoe pockets. Larger scraps I fold and stack. I do not cut until I am actually using them for something.
