I have made about 6 of them... I love this pattern.. you can really have fun with the colors.. I also used the metal fasteners to help keep it closed as I use it for my purse.

The very simplest way would be to paper-piece the block. It could be done in 2 pieces which would be sewn together. Then trim them and then sew them together. It would also be easy to print them out...
