Do any of you use it for backing? I would like a lower cost alternative for my backing but wondered about the quality of muslin. Obviously, I know it wouldn't be as good quality as "regular"...

Thanks for all the commiserating. It's good to know I'm not the only one who can't do an "easy" block. Sometime, I'll try the strip piecing method but for now, I think I'm off to something...

I can end up with a little extra at the end of the log after sewing it, even though I know I cut it the right length.
