Using walking foot for piecing?

Any opinions on using a walking foot when piecing? Some of my fabric is a bit stretchy and I thought the walking foot might help.

But their own fabrics aren't so varied and there aren't so many of them! The kits are boring! I have no objection to them selling other fabrics but not if their own range suffers!
