Anniversary quilt of valor

545491This is a quilt of valor I made for my husband for our anniversary Thursday. I added patches and patriotic sayings blocks. It is a disappearing 9 patch.

I just drew them on graph paper. I used 3 1/2" strips and various greens and beiges, etc. and made them 8x8. Ironing all the seams open was the time consuming part.

I have a workshop multi-drawer unit, it was for nails and screws. It hangs nicely on the wall out of the way, but easy to access and I sort by color.
