I think it's perfect for a OBW, but not so much for a kaleidoscope block. I'm not sure of the correct definition of the two terms...OBW and kaleidoscope...to me, they're two totally different...

My mother-in-law told me to soak brights or darks in salt water for a couple of hours to set the colors. Then lightly wash and rinse and dry. It works for me.
