If you sew it right sides together to a light weight fusiable interfacing. Then cut the center of the interfacing away. Turn it right side out, smooth the edges, then press it to the background...

I sure will pray for her. My grandson had that type of cancer when he was 18 months old along with testicular cancer. He is now 12 years old and very active and cancer free. It is a scary thing.
