As a retired hair stylist I say--- please do not try to go back to your "natural" young color---go lighter---you skin has changed and too dark will look harsh---low lights are a great idea

Have had mine for about 4 years and nothing has gone wrong with them---I wash them in the dishwasher top or bottom rack which ever has room and no problem---love that they do not sweat in Kansas...

If it's kind of thick--I scrape it with a razor blade and then use Weiman Amooth Top Range cleaner it polishes it up like new--Easy to use---I apply it with a nylon scratcher and poish with a paper...
