But I wanted some weight to it, but I didn't want it to be so heavy that it'd be too uncomfortable to sleep under. It feels too light to me...it feels almost as light as the flannel tie quilt I have...

I used a blue plaid fabric I found in the $1/yard rack at Wal-Mart. I used a low loft batting...yet, for some reason, it didn't make the quilt super heavy like everyone here had said it would.
