D'oh! The title of the ad says $95. That seems to be the price for a used machine. $140 new. It was their top-of-the line electric in 1927.

Regarding Cathy's machine, I sometimes wonder how the bed decals get worn near the pillar but not in front of the needle. Any ideas? Sewing clothes with metal zippers?

ha ha ha ha. Maybe I can get to "nowhere" after all. I once went to Alamagordo, NM, which is not far from Holloman, I think. I remember going to an air & space museum that had a real space capsule...

Congrats! If only it weren't so hard to get to "the middle of nowhere". (I have a terrible sense of direction.) Looking forward to pictures!
