    MY 128 was my DM's and I found t in storage. I had it converted to a HC and I love it. I still have the electrical motor and wheel for it. Yes, I do sew on it and it is sew sweet. Hums.

    SewExtreme, If you had the throat-plate off, you have to be very careful to seat the bobbin shuttle in the little slot at the very top of the bobbin area.

    I have a 128. They not a full sized machine. They are 3/4 sized and weigh as much as a full sized. I had my 128 converted to a hand-crank. See my avatar. It has a bullet shaped suttle.

    My avatar is my old Singer model 128 converted to a hand-crank. I works great. My Dad bought the machine new for my mom about 1955. It has been in storage for 30 years.
