Mid-Arm Quilting Machines: Advice?

I have the HQ avante which is not a mid arm but...
I have the HQ avante which is not a mid arm but an 18" long arm. I bought the studio frame with it which can be set up at 8' or 12'. I have it set up at 8' and so far it has been plenty big enough...
