I have a Brother 6000i and it says that E6 means...
I have a Brother 6000i and it says that E6 means the thread is tangled. Look under the feed dogs and see it there is a tangle of thread there. I had to do this once myself. Hope this helps.

I have a Brother 6000i and in my owner's manual...
I have a Brother 6000i and in my owner's manual it say "E6" means that the motor locked up because the thread is tangled." Hope this helps

The book is "The Complete Book of Quilting" by Maggie McCormick Gordon. I believe it will be quite useful. The material has fish on it.
