i just meant that the binding would be about an inch wide on front.
depending on fabric and batting, that usually takes a 2-1/4" strip to start.

as i starch the fabrics, i layer them in sewing order, right sides together. the number of layers depends on how many pieces i need to cut from different combinations of fabrics. ...
