Did you know that arrow on the throat plate shows which way to thread it? I saw it on a 293 and figured out it threads like a FW. Other Singer machines have that arrow - just not all.

I suppose you could turn any table with a front door cover into a table with a hand hole if you have a good saw and good aim...
