I totally agree Jan. I was joking about the pom-poms. It is just such a wild and busy quilt I thought "what could I do to push it over the top" and that is when the lime colored pom-pom fringe came...

I cut the border, made of charm squares, and added the "burlap" strips, which of course is not burlap but regular quilter's cotton tea dyed to look like burlap.
