    thanks crazyrvquilter. i rather thought they had to be slip stitched together like regular hex's. not sure i want to do that although i did a hexagon quilt that way already.

    Pat, do you sew the folded "petals" together like you do when doing a square? I've done that but can't think how i'd sew the hexagon shape folds over together. unless i just slip stitch them as one...

    that looks like the circles quilt, robbing peter to pay paul or orange peel but this person figured a hexagon inside the circles rather than a square and folded the edges over. very interesting...
