The VS machines are pretty picky about that.. the blunt end of the shuttle is tough on thread, the hook machines let you get away with half a turn backwards, usually ;-)

the big industrials are a LOT less intimidating...
the big industrials are a LOT less intimidating when set up on a treadle ( though they are a lot less capable too ) but they will still do a lot of work

Archaic, I was just going byit did not seem to be a "Short arm" ( like my 103 and some of the 70 and 90 series machines) and it does not have any weird extra bumps on the top near the thread...

well when people advertise 99's as Featherweights...... why cant that be a 99 clone ;-) oh and I have seen a number of 128's with featherweight in the ad as well. I would use a LOT of adjectives...

that machine in the previous post seems to be a 16k industrial allocated in 1906..... the variations of the "K" machines is quite boggeling......not sure what exactly it is and or what needle it...
