I like the idea of a square quilt for this, because of the symmetry of it, it is reminiscent of Chinese lattice...

I like the idea of the lime strip between the dark borders. It provides a place for the eyes to rest, as the quilt is quite busy.

Top done, but odd size?

I've just completed this top.

As it stands, it is 70 inch square.

I call this the odd size as it is too big to be a lap, but too small to be a bed quilt.
