You could use a slim screwdriver. I have opend them that way for antique dealers that didn't have a key. Carry one in my purse just in case.

I have the twin to your machine. Just got the bobbins for it from Sew-Classic.Com. They are the spindle type. Didn't have any trouble winding them. Muv would have approved. I refinished the...
