Are there any markings on the bottom that would indicate a Japanese made machine? Usually J- something in raised letters on the underside of the machine? Somewhere I found a list of Japanese makers...

I haven't had to do this since. Other machines have not been so locked up, but at the time, nothing I did loosened it up. I tried everything that was suggested and finally I just decided to take it...

It was locked up when I got it. It's working now, but it will never sew unless I find a bobbin and bobbin case. Any suggestions?
