I use Pellon fleece. It stays perfectly flat and firm. Warm and natural is nice and soft for quilts but IMHO is is a little wavy and soft for tablerunners and wallhangings.

That translates to $1.30/yd. a little narrower than most on the bolt but still better. I got a 60% coupon from Joanns which I used on a bolt of washaway stabilizer for embroidery.
