I too am a one time user of her ruler/method. Does anyone have suggestions for other uses for this ruler? I am not a fan of 'one trick pony' rulers so don't usually do projects that require a ruler...

If you want to save the paper, what about laying the block on a copier to copy the back of the block where the paper is? That way you can have some of the history that goes with these blocks.

Are you sewing on the line, inside the line, outside the line? I heard this discusstion related to woodworking and never thought about the line width in sewing but it could add up.
