I use a tear away on the bottom and a topper that dissolves with heat. The part under the Embroidery stays and keeps the design more stable because it doesnít wash away.

536 miles one-way to pick up my Jones Family handcrank rescued by my aunt. Then the same spot a few months later to pick up my Pfaff 6. Both 2 day turnaround trips.

I did a comparison of my Babylock Ellisimo Gold and my 1920 Jones Family Hand Crank machine. Both were great,the vintage straight stitch was just a tad better.

I used Dawn for years, but now I use Meyer's Clean Day. Works great on grease, and comes in nice scents. Cook's Country rated it higher than Dawn so I tried it. It also leaves my dishcloth smelling...
