Accuquilt will cut a single later at a time. You need to have the fabric very stiff. I use Terial Magic, and the fabric behaves like stiff paper. You can also stabilize with a fusible.

A good washable spray would be fine, I have been using 505 on embroidery and quilt projects for 20+ years. It has never gummed up a needle. It takes just a small amount of spray.

I use Quilter’s Dream wool, and I love it. Machine wash, machine dry, soft and drapable. I wouldn’t use a batting I couldn’t wash since I do mostly baby, lap, and bed quilts.
