Most people don't realize this but the reverse side of most sewers tape measures is in cms. So all you have to do is put your finger on the measurement and look on other side for the other...

The Star Table Runner Pattern is good too. Besides basically squares and hst's ( a couple of other also but nothing hard) it gives special instructions for doing the binding. Good tute. Good Link....

When that happens to me, I just copy and paste to word. The pictures usually won't copy with the printed directions. So copy, paste the instructions, then copy picture and paste. Hope that helps.
