Do you know of a brand of batting that's less dense than warm & natural, a lighter batting with this beast is a must! It's already so heavy, it's going to knock over my quilt frame.

Since it reminds you of grams, keep pieces as intact as possible, make a sewing machine cover. That way every time you go in your sewing space you can see the fabric and enjoy it.

I agree to use color catchers! For a queen size quilt with dark colors I throw in 3. It's worth the price of the catchers when you compare to the price and heartache of a ruined quilt.
