Oh yeah, my DH worries putting food in the refrigerator "too soon" will raise the temp. in the fridge. 40+ years and I still fight him on it. If he's in charge of leftovers I don't eat them.

Many years ago I found a similar pattern using yardage. Made it for my girls to carry their sleeping bags and a pillow for sleepovers etc. The thing was huge but they loved them.

I learned to make ruffles on my serger recentIy. It is the way to go if you can. I doubled the fabric(width-wise) and gathered the raw edges. Made a nice full ruffle.

I use felt for practice also. I find if I haven't done any quiltíng for awhile I need to "brush up" a bit before starting. A little practice before starting my project gives me better results.

I just packed up two to give to my DIL and GD. Waiting for them to swing by and pick them up. DIL is going to use the time off to teach GD to sew. Win-win.
