I got it off the long arm! Decided to use the variegated thread in the bobbin for the whole quilt and changed between black and variegated on each pass. Sent the picture to my daughter who loves it...

No rear handles yet. I bought a q'nique 21. Slowly I'll get all the bells and whistles. Had it for a week and bought the ruler plate and foot. Maybe the next purchase will be the rear handles :-)

I have a mattress heater too. Hubby's side only gets turned on if it's -30 out. You could probably source wool batting from a mill. I know there's one in southern Alberta that makes very nice batting.

It's ok really. I can stitch in Manual mode which is the same as what I was doing on my sewing machine anyway :-)
Just no x-axis regulated stitching until I get a new encoder.
