Fair winner

This quilt won best of show in our local county fair last fall. It wasn't displayed very well, borders were turned under on three sides.

My husband colored these Amish scenes with permanent markers and I incorporated them into this quilt. Yes, they are permanent. I washed and dried a sample before making the quilt.

I have no idea how it works without pressing! I do press and am well pleased with the results whether finishing by hand or by machine. One of my quilts took Best of Show at our local fair this fall...

Yes it is her pattern which can be purchased. It has the templates for the branches, birds and snow flakes in it (which I used to make my own) or you can also purchase the appliques from her.
