plastic tablecloth the clear stuff you can buy it by the yard I just cut strips the width I need and the length needed I add some so it overlaps it clings so it works good

fabric from hancocks

I recently put a order in hancocks of paduka they had fabric at $4.99 yd so I ordered some to check it out. I am very pleased with the fabric quality

silk thread

I just read glide works with piecing quilts so I thought I have 100% silk why not use it Is this a good idea ?? Since I already have it what are the reasons not to use it.?

It takes alot of practice to get good fmq and you should enjoy it. If you don't try to use some of the fancy stitches on your machine you can make the adjust the stitches just enjoy

do you have a stitch regulator?? I do not I am the regulator and if that is what you have I just think to slow down will give you smaller stitches I hope you have a great time.

I sew the binding on the back first. then do the front trying to make sure the the thread colors match the fabric pretty well I use 2 1/2' use a walking foot and my needle can be moved so adjust...

I just counted and measured my flimsy quilts count is 5 I also got the backing matched up with the quilts I have one waiting to put on my longarm and get quilted. Thats about all I can get done...
