Thought this might be a good place to add a great tip for those who like to make their own ironing board covers as I do!
I make the cover out of thermal curtain lining, the 100% cotton one, in white or cream, and use sheeting elastic to sew on the outer edge to give a snug fit. This method is very tough wearing!!!
