Know what you mean about Wal-Mart fabric. Sometimes the quality is nice enough, though, to be used sparingly. But I do agree, not a good idea as main fabric. A couple of quilting friends and I make I Spy quilts for children with cancer and also for homeless shelters here. The WM fabric is fine for 5" squares which are used for this purpose. Also keeps the costs a bit lower.
