Just compare prices with fabrics.com before you commit to a purchase. Sometimes they have the same fabric on clearance, with free shipping for orders $35+. (But fabric.com's packing has been somewhat haphazard lately.) While $6 a yard isn't a bad price to pay for $9/yd fabric, $3.99 is even better.

Yesterday I received an order from Homespun Hearth. I was amazed at their immediate service. Besides that, the fabric was neatly folded, sealed in a plastic bag, then wrapped in paper with a bow, as if it were a gift. And they included a little fabric envelope with a packet of quilting needles. One could easily get spoiled with service like that!
