I was about 12 or 13 when my Mother taught me to sew. She was making all my clothes at the time. At about 15 or so I began making some of my own clothes, and by the time I was out of high school, I made everything I wore, and did so until long after I was married. Even made my two boys clothes, until they were out of toddler things. About that time I started knitting, and until a few years later, didn'd sew much - then started on quilts and household stuff-curtains, drapes, upholstery etc. Love to sew!!!
