Do you have room enough between the major patterns to put a
small colorful seam? I had an old one given to me with a 1/4 inch
binding hand sewed over all of the connecting seams, probably for
much that same problem. It is a pretty quilt and I use it for children
who visit, as I suspect it's not strong enough for daily use, but too
much family history in it to get rid of it.
