They come out as 12.5" unfinished, which is what you need. But remember, with any Quilter's Cache block, you must use a very scant 1/4" seam or the block will end up too small.
Yes I have found that even the paper pieced block is coming out about a 1/16" to 1/8" shy but blocking my finished blocks has them coming out perfect.
