I used to be a piecer...or partial piecer...but now I'm more of a finisher.

The best thing I did for myself was back in 2001. My resolution for the year was to finish a quilt a month. That didn't mean from "start to finish"...because I did have a lot of stuff sitting around...I just had to FINISH a quilt every month.

By March, I was getting tired of ditch quilting and the easy stuff that I could do with my walking foot.

I finally got up the courage to learn to free motion quilt simply because I couldn't stand using my walking foot any longer. I had (still do) a stash much to big to stop quilting...it was either that or learn to free motion.

Another payoff, I could finally put away my "how to bind a quilt" notes, because I did enough quilts in a row to finally lock it into my itty bitty brain.
