Well, even if I didn't sew, how would you get out a splinter without a needle? I have one in each First Aid kit, each bathroom, and of course my sewing room has them at the ready as well as 2 or 3 packs in the drawer. I guess there are lots of folks that have never handled one much less threaded one. Oh, I have recentlly started to carry a needle case with pins, needles, thread, scissors that I received from one of the dear folks here on the board. Great little case.
