I have a Horn of America quilting table that I bought ten years ago and still could not do without it--it lowers the machine and I ordered a plastic insert so that everything is level--if your husband is handy have him build a table with a dip in the middle for the machine--I have a Viking 210 (about 20 years old--never been to any shop) still running, a Scandanavia Viking, and after five upgrades I know have a Viking Diamond--I am very licky to have it--I kept upgrading and using the older machine as collateral and now am not going any further--lol--
