I also have a bestfriend that lives in Geelong, near Melbourne. Are you anywhere near there? (I know its a large territory :-) )
One of my goals in life is to come to Au and view its wonders, especially to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. Love your country. Used to watch the TV program McLeod's Daughters when they were showing it here in the US. My friend Darcy turned me on to it. Great show!
