My family made "comforters" out of wool pieces, backed with flannel. They were all tied. I still have a few of them. My Mom pieced a quilt with polyster knit material. It is too thick to quilt so I will tie it. It is red, white and blue and very pretty. I'm going to tie it with Perle Cotton #3.
