I don't have a Quaker but my birds scream when they are hungry. They also scream the minute smeone comes in my house or I answer the phone and they continue until the person leaves or I hang up the phone. I think they are jealous. Mine also bite, but I found out my cousin's husband is a vet and will trim their claws and wings. Hopefully, I can tame them when I don't have to worry about them flying.
