Only shrubs and perennials in the ground - tubs and baskets can be sited in shady places and better for watering and feeding. You will notice the baskets are lined with green plastic (pierced several times underneath for drainage), instead of moss, so that the humidity remains within the compost and they don't dry out quickly as they would with moss.
We buy green plastic dustbin liners and cut them in half, line the basket, fill with compost & plants. Then trim & tuck in the plastic, pierce the bottom about 4 or 5 times with a screwdriver.
The rigid containers all have a layer of stones over the drainage holes.
