Here is another cleaning tip. The next time you are walking on a beach, pick up a seagull feather. Use it to clean between the thread tension disks. For interior states any large bird feather works.
What a great idea! I don't live near the beach, but I raise homing pigeons. Lots of feathers, especially during their molt. :thumbup: I also have a small paint brush in my sewing kit, plus a WetVac and a computer Vac accessory kit to remove dust bunnies from my machine.
To help keep rulers from slipping, if you have a hot glue gun, put a dab on each corner.
