I had my carpul tunnel surgery in 1988. Sadly enough I didn't get the surgery for almost a year as all the docs; orthopedic, hand and thorasic did everything before the surgery. I did exercises, anti-inflammatory drugs, splint and relaxation exercises. Had the surgery, did all the rehab exercises and love my hand. Initially both wrists hurt but after I started the exercises my right hand got better. Thorasic doc said sympathy pain happens alot. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
