Quake was 7.5. DGS's other grandmother,and extended family all live in Christchurch. Haven't been able to contact them so far. My ex rang DS this morning and said they had felt it in Invercargill - right at the bottom of the South Island.
I have some real good friends in Christchurch and I can not get hold of them. I am going to leave them an email and see if they can get back to me but I hope everyone is fairing well as they can over there.
It is still winter and it is cold there.
