Also, it appears, to me, as if we have two different levels of appliquér's interested in some lessons :) Yippee skippy :)

One level has never done a single stitch. (For this level, the heart potholder would be an awesome beginning.)

The next level, has done some, but not much, and would like to work on perfecting points, curves, stems, etc. (Perhaps a project with a couple of flowers, stems, and a simple pot?)

Just something that crossed my mind, as I was reading and looking at the pictures of some lovely past work. I was wondering what everyone else thought? (I've never done a group project, or followed one here, so I may be way out of line. If so, please forgive.)
