Yes totally agree about the limits on the 4 x 4, also beware if you aren't happy w/ the machine it has to be shipped back. I bought a white embroidery machine from HSN all for the same reasons you listed-easy pymts was the huge factor but if I had it to do over I would much rather buy from a shop where I would get support if I had issues w/ the machine which I did.HSN was no help when I had problems w/ the machine. I wanted to take classes at joannes on machine embroidery but because I hadn't bought the machine from them they didn't want to help. The machine pretty much just sits here. I have thought about just selling it.
Don't mean to discourage you just letting you know my experience buying a sewing machine from a home shopping channel.
